  • All purpose flour: 1 1/2 cup
  • Grated coconut: 1 cup
  • Butter: 1/2 cup
  • Sugar: 3/4 cup
  • Condensed milk/ Milkmaid: 1/4 cup
  • Baking powder: 1 tsp
  • Cashew nuts for garnishing (optional)
Cuisine: Cooking time: 25-30 mins Serving: 8-10 people

Initial Preparations:

  • Preheat the oven for 180 Deg Celsius.
  • Sieve together all purpose flour with baking powder and keep aside.
  • Slice cashew nuts into 2 halves.
  • Keep ready the baking pan by either greasing it or covering it with a parchment paper.


  1. In a bowl, mix together sugar, butter, milkmaid and grated coconut.
  2. Add the sieved flour little by little and combine well to form a dough similar to chappathi.
  3. Make  small balls from the dough, form desired shapes and place it on the prepared pan.
  4. Place the sliced cashew nuts on the top of each cookie.
  5. Follow the same procedure for the rest of the dough.
  6. Keep enough distance (about 1 or 2 inches) between the shapes. Otherwise, it will get stick together once baked.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes (depending upon the size of the cookies) or till it becomes light golden brown.
  8. After taking out from the oven, allow it to cool it in the baking sheet.
  9. Serve it after cooling completely.


  • If you are using a cookie maker, fill it with a portion of dough and make desired shape cookies.
