Ingredients
  • Prawns: 500 g.
  • Tomato: 2 Nos.
  • Onion: 1 Nos.
  • Coriander powder: 1 Tbsp
  • Garam masala powder: 1/2 tsp
  • Grated coconuts: 1 cup
  • Green Chilly: 3 nos
  • Ginger garlic paste: 1 Tbsp
  • Pepper powder: 1/4 - 1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder: a pinch
  • Whole garam masala dry - 2
  • Mustard seeds 1/4 tsp
  • Oil 1 tbsp
  • Salt as per taste
  • Sugar 1 pinch
  • Coriander leaves
For Soaking:
  • Red chilli - 2
  • Cumin seed - 1 tsp
  • Vinegar - 1 tsp
Cuisine: Cooking time: 30-40 mins Serving: 4 people

Initial preparations:

  1. Clean the prawns and keep aside.
  2. Chop the tomatoes onion, coriander leaves and green chillies.
  3. Soak red chillies, cumin seed in vinegar and little warm water.
  4. Make paste with grinding soaked red chillies, cumin seeds (along with the warm water and vinegar) ,  grated coconut, mustard seeds, chopped tomato and 1-2 cleaned prawns.

Steps:

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add gram masala whole and chopped onions and salt, cook until the onion turns folder brown.
  2. Add turmeric, ginger garlic paste and ground mixture and mix it well.
  3. Add coriander powder , pepper powder and cook it in slow flame until the oil oozes out.
  4. Add some water and make the gravy consistent , add little sugar.
  5. Add the prawns green chilies and chopped coriander leaves and cook for 8-12 min.
  6. Garnish with coriander leaves.
