  • Ripe Mangoes: 4
  • Yougurt (Curd): 2 cups
  • Salt: as required
  • Green chilly: 1-2
For grinding
  • Grated coconut: 1 cup
  • Small onions: 1-2
  • Turmeric powder: 1/4 tsp
  • Fenugreek powder: a pinch
  • Cumin powder: 1/2 tsp
  • Curry leaves: 3-4
For seasoning
  • Small onions: 3-4
  • Dried chilly: 2
  • Curry leaves: a few
  • Mustard seeds
  • Coconut oil
Cuisine: Cooking time: 15 mins Serving: 4 people


 Initial Preparations:

  • Peel  of the skin from the mangoes.
  • Grind together the ingredients for grinding into a fine paste by adding 1/4 cup of water and keep aside.
  • Blend or whip the curd and keep it ready.



  • Cook the mangoes with sliced green chilly , enough salt and water in a medium flame until it turns soft. (Make sure the water does not get completely evaporated.)
  • Add the already prepared ground paste to the cooked mangoes.
  • Allow the mix to boil on a low flame for few minutes.
  • Add the blended curd to this and mix well.
  • Keep it in a low flame, do not boil.
  • Add some curry leaves and remove from flame.
  • Heat oil in another pan, splutter mustard seeds.
  • Add slice small onions and saute it for a few minutes.
  • Add dried chilly and curry leaves.
  • Pour this seasoning onto the curry that we already prepared and cover it with a lid.
  • Mix well before serving…
  • Enjoy this delicious curry with rice!!!! 🙂
