  • Ripe Mango: 1
  • Green chilly: 2
  • Salt: to taste
  • Yoghurt (curd):1/4 - 1/2 cup
  • Mustard seeds: 1/4 tsp
  • Grated Coconut: 1/4 cup
  • Turmeric powder: a pinch
  • Cumin powder: 1/4 tsp
  • Grated jaggery (optional): 1 tsp or according to the sweetness you need
For seasoning:
  • Coconut oil: 2 tsp
  • Mustard seeds: 1/4 tsp
  • Shallots: 2-3
  • Curry leaves
  • Dried chilly:1-2
Cuisine: Cooking time: 15-20 mins Serving: 3-4 people


Initial Preparations:

  • Peel and cut mango into medium pieces.
  • Grind coconut and cumin powder with a little water to a fine paste.
  • Crush mustard seeds and keep aside.




  1. Cook mango along with grren chilly, turmeric powder, salt and 1/4 cup of water for few minutes. Mash it well if you want.
  2. Add the ground paste into it, mix well.  Let it start boiling.
  3. Remove the pan from the fire and keep aside to cool.
  4. Once it cooled, add curd and crushed mustard seeds, mix well.
  5. For seasoning, heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard seeds.
  6. Add shallots, dried chillies and curry leaves.
  7. Pour this seasoning into the prepared pachadi and cover it with a lid for some time.
  8. Mix well before serving, enjoy 🙂
