Ingredients
RaddishStuffing
  • Raddish - 3
  • Onion - 1 (big)
  • Green chilli - 1
  • Ginger - a small cube
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp.
  • Cumin powder - 1 pinch
  • Pepper - 1/4 tsp
  •  Salt
  • Mustard seed
  • Oil
Dough
  • Wheat Powder: 3 cups
  • Salt
  • Water (Hot)
  • Oil/Butter
Cuisine: Cooking time: 40 mins Serving: 4 people

Initial preparations:

  • Grate raddish into fine pieces. Squeeze it well to get rid of the water and keep it aside.
  • Raddish_grated
  • Chop onion, ginger and green chilly into small thin pieces.
  • Prepare the dough by mixing wheat along with water and salt (similar to chappathi) and keep it aside.

Steps:

  1. Heat oil in a pan and crackle mustard seeds.
  2. Add chopped onion with a little salt and saute well until it becomes soft.
  3. Add the chopped green chilly, finely grated ginger along with turmeric powder and stir well.
  4. Add the grated raddish and mix well until the water evaporate.
  5. Add pepper powder and cumin powder,  saute well for 3-4 minutes.
  6. Remove from fire and keep it aside, let it cool down.
  7. Make small wheat balls from the already prepared dough.
  8. Make room to fill in the raddish stuffing and cover it properly.
  9. Pour wheat powder in a plain surface and flatten the above (similar to chappathi). Just make sure the filling doesn’t squeeze out.
  10. Heat a pan, fry the paratha on both sides until it is light brown, spread some oil or butter over the paratha.

 Tips:

  • You could eat it straight away from the pan or goes well with raita or pickle or tomato chutney.
  • If you like more spices you could add garam masala and chilly powder.
