  • Leban:500 ml.
  • Tomato: 1 small
  • Shallot:3-4 small
  • Ginger:1 small sized
  • Garlic: 2-3 small
  •  Dried Red Chilly: 1-2 medium
  • Curry Leaves:as reqd
  • Turmeric Powder:1/4 tsp
  • Red Chilly Powder: a pinch
  • Fenugreek Powder:  1/4 tsp
  •  Salt: as required
  • Mustard
  • Cocunut Oil
Cuisine: Cooking time: 10 mins Serving: 4-5 people

Initial preparation

  • Slice shallots
  • Cut tomato in to small pieces
  • Crush ginger and garlic together


  1. Heat oil in a pan and crackle mustard seeds.
  2. Add the sliced shallots, dried red chilly and curry leaves and saute it well.
  3. Add crushed ginger and garlic and mix well.
  4. Add chopped tomatoes and allow it to get mixed with the above.
  5. Turn the stove to low flame.
  6. Add turmeric powder, fenugreek powder and chilly powder.
  7. Add leban along with some water and salt.
  8. Stir well for a minute, just to get it warm.


  • You could avoid chilly powder if not required.
