Caramel Custard


  • Full fat milk – 1 cup

  • Eggs – 3

  • Sugar – 1 cup + 1/4 cup for caramel

  • Vanilla essence – 1/4 tsp

  • Blend eggs and milk together
  • Add a cup of sugar and the vanilla essence
  • In a pan, heat (low flame) 1/4 cup of sugar and 1 table spoon of water to make the custard. Mix until custard foams golden brown. Cool it until the caramel hardens
  • Transfer the custard mix (step2) to the prepared caramel and steam cook it until the custard mix is cooked (15 minutes)
  • Cool it down and refrigerateCaramel custard
